Everything Metsie said plus I would want know how some of the youngster are developing. Johan just has that intensity that I’m sure could really serve some if the younger guys. He’s an absolute Pro.

I Might depending on how good he looked over those 190+ innings….
Wins wouldn’t really be a big factor because you can’t win alone….
If he has an ERA under 4 and at those prices I would definitly consider it!

Don’t think Sandy would but then again I’m not Sandy…LOL

If Santana has an injury free season and wins 15 games, ERA under 3.00, 190+ IP, would you offer him a two year deal for $15 million total to stay assuming he’d take it?

You can say what you want about his salary, if it’s worth it, his injuries and lack of success since coming here (not really due to his effort but other circumstances)

But I can’t say I regret having him, watching him, paying him at all…

He was a great player to have and I’m glad we made him a met….

Too bad this is the last year we will get to see him pitch as a Met….

Injuries did him in, makign the contract not worth the record, but i’d do that deal ANY DAY of the week. Hopefully he pitches well enough to maybe get traded to bring in a B or who knows, even an A prospect for us.. Good humanitarian, good guy and great pitcher.
