Just to make sure the record is clear, I was a moderator in a shoutbox that was seen by many as a detriment to this website and I was asked to remain anonymous while doing it by the site’s owner. That’s very different than accusing another user of being me… especially since I believe this is the FOURTH person you guys have said is me. I dont know who you are and im not going to make assumptions. But it is very suspect how your 1st comment on this site(Ive never seen you post here before) is to defend someone you dont know. While in the same sentence you put down the majority of the people who post on this site.

Not to mention the fact that JesseP once moonlighted as a character called cleanup(moderator) while all the while denying it was him. Until he was outed by a mistake he made and later identity was confirmed.

As far as the outfield is concerned if things remain the same and the only addition made turns out to be Cowgill i’ll be disappointed with the results. I expected Capt Kirk to get the shot at CF and once Jason Bay was gone I figured Lucas Duda would get a shot at LF mainly because his power potential he displayed the 2nd half of 2011 but I figured there would be at least 1 addition to the outfield with MLB experience.

While I agree it’s late in the off season all that means is exactly what it says, it’s late in the off season. It doesn’t preclude the team from adding an outfielder. So just as the Mets got a top prospect like Wheeler when it was thought they could not and as the Mets got the players they did for Dickey when it was believed they could not It’s still possible the Mets could still add an outfielder. How good or bad he will be though IF they do add one is the real question and if the addition is not via a trade then of the remaining outfielder free agent pool even if say they do wind up adding Hairston while Scott would be welcomed back he will fall short of what I expected in the OF for 2013.

Hey but maybe Cowgill will be the 2013 version of the 2012 Angel Pagan.
