Matter o’ fact, I’m going to post this article as a reply to everyone of his comments that even borders on insult to any other person that comments. We(every other commenter on this blog) don’t deserve to have to deal with his childish non-sense, that MMO clearly approves of, cause nothing gets done.

I would say I want to agree with this, but seeing this was just linked in another article, where the same person continues to be-rate every single person who writes a comment on any article. Its not just my opinion either, as someone else clearly states they feel the same exact way about that person, and my threaded comment is the one that gets the link because for once someone(me) said something back to that inbreed. If you are going to play like you’re enforcing rules, enforce them on the obvious, Alex68, he is a worthless comment contributor who brings nothing to the table in any argument, get rid of him. The simple fact that you continue to let him be-rate people multiple times on a daily basis without any punishment, shows you approve of his behavior, and I’ll have no problem returning his piss poor attitude to him, until this site actually does something about it.

It’s a very strong site and should remain that way going forward. Very happy I finally discovered it.

That said, the personal attacking is quite odd. I very much enjoy difference in opinion – but don’t get how any sort of opinion gets strengthened by insulting the poster you are debating with. Try to convince / explain with logic / facts / comparisons. I don’t think any reasoning ever got better by calling someone an idiot / hater / lover or whatever curse is deemed right.

I suppose we are all rooting for the Mets to be successful and win. We differ in opinion on how that may be ( or should have been) achieved and how this (or previous) front offices have handled matters. Still, regardless of where you stand on an issue, a minimum of respect and politness should be natural even if opinions are totally opposite of each other.

Anyway, hope the MMO ” police” won’t need to interfere much at all going forward.

Hotstreak, I get called names all the time and I’m often told I have an agenda ever since I first started criticizing Duquette, then Minaya and now Alderson. I’m used to it and it don’t bother me. It bothers me more when they do that to our readers and it’s a 24 hour a day job trying to stay on top of it. I try to do what I can and will continue to do so.

The biggest problem is when one innocuous comment leads into an avalanche. Or if Alex says something about any move, and then the auto-responders attack in unison. That ends up being worse than the one innocuous comment.

I’ve told several people to just ignore others, but I’m convinced they love it underneath the pretense that they don’t. It’s hard to fight that.

People here call others Sandy Alderson “or “Wilpon “haters” or “lovers” or David Wright “haters” or lovers”. That gets me more upset. However unfortunately it is part of the blog world. When they call you “idiot” or “moron” or even his agent (hidden agenda) then its penalty box time. Infraction either hitting below the belt or lack of civility.

BBLB, that’s not what I said. What I said was that people are throwing the word “agenda” around as if the accused are the only ones who have one, and not the accusers. It’s borderline ridiculous how often I see that word used by either side against the other, and with either side believing they each have the high ground. You and everyone else are perfectly free to use the word.

If you say that someone has a hidden then the “A” word , you are criticizing them because you think they are secretly trying to achieve or cause a particular thing, while they appear to be doing something else. Such as being critical while appearing to be objective.

On a blog we all have opinions and some are very critical. We all think we are objective.

I am all for civility and discourse of different opinion. I fully understand you point.

However you oe me or anybody may not like someone and give reasons why. It is not HIDDEN.

The difference between the “A” word and the word HIDDEN “A” I respectively submit is the problem.
