I haven’t seen anything about the Mets sending scouts to that.

Dickerson would be a nice 4th OF complimentary guy, like Jeremy Reed a few years back. But we already have Baxter, Cowgill, and Turner taking OF reps. I’m not particularly disagreeing with going after Dickerson, especially since those names are a weak collection, but I don’t see the Mets adding another guy that’s basically just a defensive replacement/4th OF. Plus, he’s another lefty.

Our outfield looks to be Kirk, Duda, and Valdy…backed up by Baxter and Cowgill, with the occasional Turner spell…. Yeesh. Am I forgetting someone?

A 30yr old whom has a total of 599 Career Plate appearances in 5years in the Majors…..PASS

I’d rather stick with the combination of Duda, Nieuwenhuis, Valdespin, Cowgill, Baxter, Brown and Hoffman…and wait to see what Den Dekker and Lagares can do if/when they make it to the Majors. If we’re gonna stink this year(which I believe we will) Id rather all that playing time be spent on the youngsters and the 2 wildcards(Hoffman,Brown).

Doesnt make sense to waste at bats on a 30 yr old journeyman who’s had chances and is what he is…no upside just a serviceable in short stints
