This needs to be the year. Which one it ends up being will also determine if he makes the majors with the mets or elsewhere after a trade.

If he could just show enough to be serviceable at 2B (and with his SS skills, not at all worried about the mental, glove or arm aspects, just the feet!), that would be a huge, huge lift for the team.

BTF, well… We have nimmo for 2014??? I had high hopes for lagares but he bombed, i still think that Vaughn is the wild card here… I think the mets should give him a chance to see what he can do, he’s got power and speed, while his BA is not avg, he can provide a spark and swagger the team lacks..

Satin…haven’t heard much of him over the past year. I got the impression from reading ML evaluations on other sites that his stock has fallen.

If 1b is the only position he can play, stands to reason we won’t be seeing him anytime soon.

Shows just how terrible the Mets outfield situation is not only in the majors but the minors as well. It’s pathetic really. Two drafts and three offseasons and not one MLB-ready outfielder that projects as MLB average. Not good.

Another reason I love Wilmer Flores. This is his age 21 season. Travis d’Arnaud for example is in entering his age 24 season. Let that sink in for a second. Wilmer could spend this whole season at AA, next season at AAA, and only then would he be entering his age 24 season. I’m very excited to see how he continues to progress in 2013.
