I feel really bummed about it because I got to see “Stosh” at the Polo Grounds in 63
the year he retired. He was always a class act and a terrific hitter.

He’s a bit more dynamic than Saunders and would probably fit in better with Harvey, Niese, Wheeler & Gee.

The difficulty in assessing the Mets rotation is that no one can predict how Johan will perform this year. Will he be the dominant pitcher in the first half of last season, or fall apart like he did after the All Star break?

In my view, Capuano gives the Mets a chance to win every time he takes the mound. Two years ago, he had one of the most dominant pitching performances ever in a Met uniform in his 2-hit 13K gem against the Braves.

Niese & Capuano = Leiter & Hampton

In the 2nd half of 2013, our rotation could look like:

Harvey
Niese
Wheeler
Capuano
Gee

I wouldn’t have a problem with that.
