Prob not anything based on Attendance although the more that show it is reasonable to think they get a higher maintenance fee for cleanup etc….

But I’m sure the Stadium gets a cut of parking, concessions and food as well as the Mets do and I’m not sure they are going to be giving that up to the MLB giving the WIlpons a windfall on the stadium side of things.

In it he touches on your question about beer/food.

“All revenues associated with the All-Star Game, Home Run Derby and Futures Game will go to MLB. That includes ticket sales, parking, concessions and merchandise.”

Now what falls under concessions might be the better question. It does also says that MLB covers operational costs of the game, such as paying ballpark concession workers and parking lot attendants.

The host team makes a ton of money from the allstar game. They got the allstar game cause they built a new stadium. They hav been throwing all stAr games at new venues. Mets get the percentage (maybe the stadium does too instead of a flat fee).

For the All Star game I am guessing that whatever goes to the Mets during a regular game will go to the MLB (maybe they get a small percentage of the percentage) and the Stadium will get it’s normal cut as it is the venue and while it may take a lesser cut than normal it still gets a fair share because not all stadiums are owned by the team like this one is.

Doesn’t matter really what they get you know the benefit of having the ASG here?

No Travel for Wright he gets to sleep in his own bed….
The coaches will still be able to hang around and make sure no one gets into any bad habits.
And the folks who work at CitiField will have a good three days this year before they have to cut staff again because there are too many to support a high staff during regular business hours because all the stars left when the ASG did…

But it is probably not as big a cut as they get from hosting a playoff which is a piddling amount as well. Most of the Playoff money goes to the MLB as well.

Add to it the fact that SNY doesn’t get to broadcast the game I would bet they make less on the All Star game than they do on a regular met game with the exception of Parking.
