Lets hope He can be our Seaver and Wheeler is at least as good as Koosman…
Then if we can just manage to keep our best performers over the next few years they have a chance.

Wouldn’t it be something if we have Him as the Ace and Wheeler as the Ace part 2? then niese winning 14+ games, then Noah or Fulmer along with tapia or montero as our 5 pitchers for years to come? It sounds awesome, of course it usually doesn’t work that way, but one can always dream right?

Buck is the key this year. It will be interesting to see how he handles the staff. Most observers did not like the pitch calling the past few years. Let the chips fall where they may.

And i was the first one who admitted how disappointed i was in him, mind you, he started pitching at the age of 16 and still learning, he still raw and can improve. i did say him and harvey were gonna be the 2 best out of the 3. if i am wrong i do admit it unlike others who maneuver their way to an excuse.

My worry with the loss of Dickey is does this rotation have the diversity of pitching type to really stay as good as it was last year….

Dickey could really throw a team off it’s timing especially when followed by a guy like Niese and Harvey….

I just don’t see that dynamic in our rotation anymore….

Lets hope Gee is enough.

Ok Harvey has attitude and so far has backed it up. I’ve been a fan since ’68 and recall Seaver as confident leader. I do not recall such a brash statement. Original Met Fans….Does Harvey’s attitude seem over the top?
