We’re Not Going Down Without A Fight, Mets Interested In Sizemore!

Sorry for the dramatics… I’m just practicing for the year when we can actually use exclamation points again in our titles…
SNY’s Kevin Burkhardt reports that the Mets are “very interested” in center fielder Grady Sizemore.
Sizemore underwent microfracture right knee surgery in September and will be unavailable until midway through the 2013 season. He attempted to work his way back from the knee injuries that have plagued his career since 2009 and avoid the surgery, but he missed the entire 2012 season in the process. This was a similar procedure to what Carlos Beltran had.
The 30-year-old has played in just 210 games since 2009 with a .234/.314/.413 slash during that span with 28 home runs and 109 RBI.
Barring any setbacks, he’s expected to resume baseball activities in June.

Wow I didn’t realize that. Everyone we have signed has been to a minor league deal. This is so disappointing. Even if we sign Sizemore, I think it’ll be to a minor league deal also.
We’re not looking to improve the team for 2013. We’re punting.

Yea it’s true. I just read it on ESPN. The marlins signed Placido Polanco today which leaves us the only team yet to sign a major league FA.
well, at this point, calling Marquis or Palanco a major league FA is a bit of a stretch. And more like contract semantics!
Oh wait! My bad… the Marlins signed Pierre earlier in the offseason. The Padres signing of Marquis leaves us as the only team not to the sign a major leaguer…. Pretty embarrassing if you ask me.

On a serious note relating to this topic. I advise everyone to be careful tomorrow.
People will do some reckless things and some really do believe the world is going to end. I would just recommend being a little more cautious. My opinion, of course.

If you want exclamation point worthy news just quote “Incarcerated Bob” lol…..apparently for 5weeks he’s been reporting that the Mets are in on Justin Upton and will now dangle Syndergaard to get him lol….
Not a bad idea if possible though…give him credit for that
