Oh, yeah he had some good moments as a pinch hitter initially but that lasted a very short time. Major league pitchers may read scouting reports but will always start rookie hitters off with fastballs as a matter of principle. If the hitters can’t handle the heat why bother with breaking and off speed stuff……

Bottom line? Valdespin’s weakness as a hitter is clearly evident, He can’t hit the breaking stuff and he swings at 5too many pitches out of the zone. Bad base runner too!

Hope he is sent packing and being photographed wearing a Marlins cap may not be terribly insulting to the brass…but proves a point….HE IS NOT TOO SMART!
