I have been all over Gomez as a fit since last year. I still think it would be worth looking into regardless of it being a walk year. I would imagine that re-signing with the Mets if things go well would certainly be something he would entertain.

Gomez and or Hart are interesting, Hart is a huge fit but both are free agents next year, so unless it is a sign and trade then it will not happen, they can sign them as free agents next year instead of giving anyone up. Hart would look good in right field batting fifth, although he does get injured a lot.

If it is Bourn then his price came down a lot and he settles for no more than 3 years. Then it is a good deal. It is the length of the deal that can hurt. If he gets Bourn on a deal anywhere from 1 to 3 Alderson is the man.

Sizemore underwent another knee surgery recently and probably won´t play at all during at least the 1st half of 2013.
Unfortunately, it appears he is the Brandon Webb of position players. Injuries killed his career at a much younger age than normal.

Thinking like Sandy(cheap,cheap,cheap) I’m thinking of Mark DeRosa, Matt Diaz or Austin Kearns. Although would not mind Swisher if he’s still on the FA market. Just backload the deal.

HAHAHA!! Watch us sign Grady Sizemore to a minor league deal and trade for someone like Viciedo. And THEN Sizemore goes off like the player of old for a .270-.285 BA with 30HR and 90 RBI. Wouldn’t that be something? Not likely at all, but still nice to think of. Personally, I wanted Nady back.. I know he isn’t what we remember, but I like the guy enough to give him a shot. Can’t be worse than Fred Lewis!

I’m not saying he’s not a good player now. I’m saying he wouldn’t be a good player playing 80 games at Citifield! Hart isn’t close to Ike Davis when he’s right btw! I would bet that the 2013 Ike looks a whole lot like the second half of 2012 Ike! Besides Sandy has had a chance at Hart before and didn’t and I suspect that won’t change. I expect they’ll bring in two guys, atleast one of which will hit from the right side with reasonable power, the other guy will, or at least he should be a leadoff type hitter but we’ll see what Sandy has in mind!

LMAO….Yeah it is a freaking TERRIBLE Cast of characters…

The only player I’d be interested in that is maybe in the Mets cheap price range is Cody Ross but his price might sky rocket now with the Philthies and Stankees sniffing around him.

I’d sign Ross to a 2-3year deal its not like he’d be blocking anyone in our system all decent Met Outfield prospects are 2-3 years out anyway.

And I dont want no part of re-signing Hairston for 2 years. He is a good bat off the bench and occasional starter as in maybe once a week. He is an all or nothing hitter either he hits a homer or K’s and he is a terrible defender to boot….Lets hope and pray Sandy has another trade in him…He seems to only pull off 1 trade per off-season and he just shot his load

Last year his splits were a little one-sided but over his whole career splits its pretty much standard…

Ike Davis Splits last year was terrible at home but we know he can hit at Citi do to the previous year and a half of ball he played….

And to compare anyone to Jason Bay has gotta be the biggest disrespect in MLB…lol…And youre over doing it by saying Hart isnt a good player
