My only question is that with D’Arnaud having had knee surgery how will this affect him going forward since catching does require a lot of squatting so I hope he is ok with no further knee issues going forward plus the addition of another young, highly rated RH power pitcher maybe the future is closer than thought.

Now all we need is a RH power bat for OF to play LF or RF and hopefully we don’t have to wait another 3 years as some in the media claim, cause with this thinking then why would Mets bother to sign David if improvement is years away?

Anyway SA has brought in some highly touted prospects that have not added anything to Major League roster so they are still, prospects from Toronto, no different than Wheeler, just hoping that they be ready later in 2013 but, here is the big BUT, how does this trade help roster in 2013 or 2014 improve over 2012 roster?

So now we wait for their development so we can decide if they were worth the RA and Carlos trades?

My question is: When do you consider a player homegrown? I for one don’t believe a player needs to be drafted by the team he comes up with to be considered “home grown”. I think if a player comes over in a trade and is a single A player and makes it to the bigs with that team, he is “home grown”. I would consider Wheeler “home grown” not so for Travis d’Arnauld. Curious to see what others think?

Buck really would be one of the best back up catchers in the league if he regains his stroke. May even turn into a valuable trade chip in the not too distant future.
