If Jason does come back with Seattle it could be an indication that playing in Citi Field did mess up his mechanics. The problem might be, however, that the mechanics might not ever return to the way they once were.

We will have to see during spring training what the reports are. Wishing Jason well and no hard feelings about it not working out here.

Bay probably left his game in all those walls he hit playing for us. What was his major concussion count while he played for us – two or three? That first one did him in – the one where we flew him back from the West Coast right after he went down. Bet he wishes he’d taken the train home and hadn’t let Jerry push him back on the field so quick before he finally stayed out that year.

It’s not like we didn’t give Bay a chance. He was simply, AWFUL. So bad, that Seattle is giving him less than $1 million. It’s a sneeze to be subtracted from the amount the Mets owe his sorry ass.

The fact he’s closer to Canada is not it because he had no other choice except maybe a canadian bar league!

If Bay goes back to Boston numbers you may be right about the curse. Maybe the Mets should start looking around the clubhouse for Pedro Serrano’s old “Jobuu” figure from the
movie “Major League”.

I wish Bay all the luck in the world. He couldn’t do it for us – but that doesn’t mean he didn’t want to. He was always professional and never came up with excuses. He was the first to say how much he sucked and how disappointed he was.

If he does revert back to his old self then good on him. He wasn’t going to do it for the Mets.

You didn’t realize cause its not at all true. The terms of release were reported at the time, and they included the fact that future contract Bay signed was all his. There will be no offset. One reason he took the deal and found it attractive

If Jason Bay turns into half the player he was in Boston for the Mariners, I’m going to have to strongly consider the Mets being cursed in some way
