D’Arnaud. D’Arnaud seems to be a “can’t miss” prospect in the eyes of certain fans. If there is someone on this board who has seen D’Arnaud play, I would like to get their scouting report. Only a few years ago Arancibia was D’Arnaud. If you get a chance, take a look at Arancibia’s “numbers” in the minor leagues. He was one of the top prospects as rated by Baseball America. The point being that D’Arnaud is not a sure thing. On top of it he is a catcher coming off of a knee injury.If this deal turns out to be D’Arnaud straight up for Dickey, I for one will be very disappointed. Another serious prospect has got to be included by the Jays, even if the cornerstone of the deal is D’Arnaud. Otherwise Sandy needs to pass.

Gose has 30 homeruns in 2,256 plate appearances in minors and had a .319 slugging last year. He also only had 5 total homers last year. I think you have him mistaken with someone else. Gose actually measures up very nicely with Castillo. Hopefully he gets on base the way Luis did in his career with a .369 career mark.

Quite possibly the worst comparison I’ve ever heard in my life.

Castillo hit one home run in his minor league career. Gose has hit 33. 19 last year alone, including 16 in AA. and slugging percentages over .400 in AA and AAA. Castillo never slugged over .400 at any level.
