If Dickey wasn’t worth keeping then why would signing Hairston be worth doing?

If we have punted on 2013 waiting for kids to be the core bulding blocks then play the kids who have no reason to go to AA, Let them get experience and get used to MLB pitching and if they suck well that was the plan all along when you traded away a 20 game winner wasn’t it?
