Carbrera, on a one year deal, sure, why not? What is the difference? If he turns into another Torres he is gone by next November. While I would say that I would rather see the Mets put $3M-$4M elsewhere, if they signed him to a 1 year deal, I wouldnt be bothered by that. Reorganizing takes time and these are the moves that mean nothing in the long run.

Because if the Mets keeps the rotation as it is, it will be a rotation which can compete, but still they will need to improve the OF and Cabrera, no matter what, is and upgrade right now. Mets should try to sign him for 3M and try to make others small moves in order to not be completely irrelevant next year.
