Would John Lannan Be A Solid Fit For The Mets?

john lannan

On Tuesday, Nationals beat writer William Ladson, tweeted that he expects the Nats to non-tender lefthanded starting pitcher John Lannan on Friday. Ladson also added that he believed Lannan would be a solid fit for the Mets. I took a quick glance at Lannan’s career numbers and the first thing that came to mind was, “I’ve seen these numbers before”. I was looking at a lefthanded version of Mike Pelfrey. Lannan, a New York native, has posted career [...]

Do Two Wrongs Make A Wright?

david wright

It was three weeks ago when we elected a president. After a long, nasty, ugly, expensive and bitter campaign we survived and made it to Election Day. And boom! Just like that more than 57 million Americans, those who voted for Mitt Romney, were pissed off. No matter who would be sworn in in January, literally half this nation would be upset. It was really a no-win situation. The negotiations between David Wright and Mets [...]

David Wright Record Breaking

If Mets are indeed offering Wright such a deal, Rosenthal adds, it seems unlikely he would reject it unless he wanted to be a free agent at end of season. Wow! Meanwhile In The Dickey Camp…

R.A. Dickey

R.A. Dickey told reporters this morning that he is surprised by how slow negotiations have gone on a contract extension, and expressed disappointment with the slow pace.
