Minor league players who needed AB’s, were being placed on the DL with fake injuries because they didn’t have room for them?

Disgraceful. Especially since this is a team that’s allegedly trying to build from within.

And I believe GCL team costs about the same as one minor league FA. So, wouldn’t the Mets have been better off with getting their low level prospects enough playing time, instead of signing Adam Loewen for example?

Putting fresh high school draft picks in Kingsport overmatched them versus their competition and their development suffered as a result. The GCL is supposed to be the most appropriate level for the really young and raw kids that were in high school just a few months earlier.
