While I agree with the assessment of keeping the young arms, and there is a lot of good arms in our system that’s capable of quickly moving through the levels, to get a guy like Alex Gordon would be a very good start to bringing in those bats they want to buy when they have the money to do so. Have those “bats” attracted to Flushing by next winter. The Mets have an ENTIRE outfield to cover, and with the outfield market getting more interesting, I wouldn’t hesitate in making a move for Gordon. If not for Niese, who are you willing to part with?
