I see Murphy growing as a hitter. I’m not worried about the number of home runs he hits.
I see Murphy growing into a “Keith Hernandez type hitter”

Good #2 hitter. Just needs to stay away from the slashing style of hitting he did in middle of year that caused his slump.

In an effort to find the positive in Murphy, since he will probably be the starting second baseman in 2013…he makes good contact.

Murph is an easy guy to root for givern his work ethic, but his drsamsatic improvement in the field was good enough for him to register as the worst fielding 2B in the league. Juswt like Duda, he needs to OPS at .800 or above to keep his spot.

I enjoy watching Murphy work the count. 2012 was a successful year for him.

I have always been a dan fan. He has more HR power than he showed this year. He always gives a good ab and always hustles. If they leave him in one position for awhile, I expect his numbers to improve.
