I said this earlier (since I see it was taken down, yet trolls from other teams comments are still up. Interesting)….

First of all, don’t patronize me about the ’73 & ’86 Mets because I’ll make you look foolish in the end. Next, don’t ask a ridiculous question about choir boys/ballplayers because if you’ve seen the stuff I’ve written in the past, the only thing I care about is winning. The irony here is that when someone who isnt a “choir boy” (I.E. Bell) is brought up, someone like you would go “Oh no, not him!”

Way to skip around the question….the fact that the tired “Wright does it, it’s good, Upton does it, it’s bad” argument just shows you have nothing of substance to answer why Arizona want to dangle a guy like Upton two straight years, especially last summer. Heck, we had debates and Diamondback fans come on here and share their thoughts. Go find it in the archives when you have some time.

Let’s bench David Wright in the middle of one of his epic 2nd half slumps he has had 4 years running…

bench him for a week

dont tell him when he is playing again…

i bet u any money, if David vents, its a sign that he cares !

but when Justin Upton does it…he has a bad attitude…

Id prefer Skaggs rather than Trevor Bauer. His delivery is unconventional and MANY have compared him to Tim Lincecum. Besides.. we need a lefty To put in between Harvey and Wheeler.

Harvey, Skaggs, Wheeler, Niese, Mejia/Mchugh/Hefner or another filler?

While it was perfectly fine to trade Beltran for Wheeler who was 2-3 years away, if we trade Wright we have to get major league components in return.

Glad I wasn’t the only one who saw Wright as a great fit in Arizona, with Bauer as the crown jewel for our return. If Wright went to Arizona, it would then make no sense to trade Upton. I can see Wright keeping him in line. However, something bigger can come from this, hence the 3 way trade idea I’ve floated around for a while now.

Not me. Unless he signs a 4 year deal I’m not interested, in hearing the front office telling me that we have no flexibility in 2015-2020. It’s a vicious cycle and Wright peaked 5 years ago. Sure he had a nice season, he knew it was time to talk big contract. He’s motivated by greed like most ballplayers.

LOL, back to back posts with opposing news. I wonder which one is bogus and which one is not? Here’s looking at you Andy Martino.

Jim I posted a similar scenario in a comment yesterday. Trade Wright for a huge major league ready need, and use the money for him on a centerfielder instead. I proposed Upton but Bourn would be even better., and I also like Bourjos.

Kay seems to think the Mets will win by keeping Wright and giving him a Santana-sized deal through age 39. And she’s the one who jumps all over Minaya for giving out bad contracts. Go figure, lol.
