Yes, but Giancarlo is a completely different ballgame and for him, they will want nothing but top shelf talent. As stupid as yesterday’s trade was, they’re not THAT stupid to ask for little for a perennial 40-50 HR hitter/MVP candidate like Stanton.

The conversation starts with either Wheeler or Harvey, Metsie. To be honest, Stanton is one of only two guys I’d give up Wheeler for (Myers from KC is the other). From the guys you listed, Familia may be the only one that would be attractive to them.

Yeah I don’t get why everyone is so happy. Has our standards become that now that we celebrate other teams falling apart, and celebrate that we cut a player that wasn’t performing? That doesn’t make me happy; it makes me feel depressed. What it shows is that this franchise has severely underpreformed recently(and that’s putting it mildly), and things really haven’t changed with the new GM.

We are so desperate for good news that we are looking for ANYTHING positive. I mean really, is the fact that we probably won’t finish last a good thing?

And Sandy is not going to promote Wheeler until after the trade deadline the earliest which means you have ensured next year as a loser even before it has started.
