Ozzie was full of it and his attitude got his ass fired for that. Plus the Castro remarks didn’t help his rep at all.

A lot of the moneyballer blame the spending for thier problems but the truth was Guillen was the absoloutly wrong guy to manage that team!

When you go into BUY mode the most important thing to do first is to develop a team chemistry and Guillen is not the kind of guy that makes a team want to fall on grenades for!

Give Terry Collins that same team and I bet they do a lot better than they did!

What Ozzie Guillen has in managerial skills he lacks in the “social graces.” I saw an interview he had with a player and then a reporter on ESPN a few years ago. Every other word out of his mouth was a bleep word. Now if a team owner how would you feel sending him out to a public affairs event in the community and giving a speech or do you cringe after a brutal loss and he is giving a post game interview. I think he could be a good front office person evaluating talent and recommending trades, etc., but If I was an owner I would not want him front and center in the dugout. I will say that I was proud of him when during the interview he talked about taking the oath of citienship and becoming citizen. Thyere was almost tears in his eyes and you could tell he really loves his country. Just ROUGH around the edges and that is his fatal flaw.

I almost forgot that he was once a Brave and that he was instrumental in defeating us in that must win game for the Mets. I always disliked Ozzie, but now you remind me why it’s completely validated.
