it’s AAA, so not going to be seeing them that young. More like 22-3 at the youngest, and well up. so hopefully mature enough to resist temptation. Though I am sure young pro athletes can find trouble to get into anywhere.

Well having lived in Vegas for awhile I can tell you the playing conditions (that will ruin statistical analysis) aside…

There is the whole issue of the enviornment of the city to contend with.

Not the best place you want to have a bunch of young 19 and 20 year olds living in where they can sew thier wild oats.
It’s called “Sin City” for a damn good reason and it’s ripe for creating stories where kids can find themselves making headlines the team would prefer they didn’t make.

And I’m sure the FO and ownership will find many more reasons to visit the Las Vegas affiliate than they did over the entire life of the time Buffalo was with us.

On the bright side all those kids who people prefer to think are worthless will be putting up good batting numbers and maybe fool someone into trading for them so there is that working on the plus side.

Another downfall is the ridiculous heat, the altitude and dry air make hitters look like they’re all Ty Cobb and our pitchers will look like Victor Zambrano (not easy to avoid using Ollie Perez as an example). There is also the “availability” of things to get these young guys in trouble, oh and of course the fact that they’re almost 3000 miles away. This was a big F’up for the club.

Another downfall to the Mets AAA playing in Vegas is some the exclusives you guys here at MMO had when you went up to Buffalo.
