Thanks Dan, we are really psyched for tonight’s show!

I am not too confident that second-base is a landing spot for Wilmer Flores. Although he has a good glove and soft hands as an infielder, his speed and range are somewhat compromised. He’s a big strong kid, and he’s going to get bigger and stronger.

I like him as a corner infielder, especially at first-base. If Wright does leave in the next year, Flores will hopefully be ready to play 3B in the bigs. I don’t think he is a trade chip right now as the Mets are in such an uncertain situation regarding DWright, and perhaps even Ike, that I think they will want to hold onto Flores as a cheap alternative.

He should start in AAA next season, as he has already manhandled Eastern League pitching pretty thoroughly.

Hey Satish and Pete, good luck with the show tonight.

I have a question for pete: What do you think the chances of Wilmer Flores sticking at second base are? Is he a potential replacement for Murphy or is he a trade chip this winter? Also, where do you think he will start next season, AA or AAA, and if AA how long until he gets his AAA promotion?
