Probably a rule that is meant to make a team really think about whether its worth it to bring somebody else to the roster. Otherwise every bump and bruise would have taxi squad players coming and going

true jessep, i like that this 2 teams should have met for a wild card game, and then they play out the ALCS, only in baseball . Or that the Cards have the chances to go for it all , again, out of a wildcard Spot , again ….. only in baseball

hey srt – I picked SF to actually represent NL but after Game 2 I thought the Reds were a lock for it. They impressed me a lot and then poof… gone.

As for Cueto, the playoff roster rules state “If a player is injured, they can be replaced during the series using the rules stated above. If the player is replaced they cannot come back in the current round, nor can they play in the following round.”

I had the Reds going in, but I think the loss of Cueto deflated them somewhat. Not sure I understand why but since they removed him from the roster this series, he would not be available next series, if they moved on – anyone know why?
Anyway, I now think the Giants now have a good chance of taking this series.

Cards over Nats – agreed.

I don’t agree the Orioles are done. They came back from game 1 after giving up 5 runs in a 2-2 in the ninth. I wouldn’t count them out yet.

TIgers/Oakland – I’m rooting for Oakland but do agree with you – probably goes to the Tigers.

Orioles are done…that kind of loss is tough to bounce back from with their backs up against the wall.
