Their MiL system is about as intact and as built up (from the years of losing) as it was when they started last offseason.

It did not even cost them a first rounder as thier pick was protected and we were relegated to sub 1st round picks for letting Reyes go.

All they did was spend money and it really didn’t hurt them in the long term.

In fact those who like what Sandy has done in the past should probably be appluading what they did because now they are trading money for more kids to stockpile thier Minor system aren’t they?

In fact under the new CBA rules what they are doing is the ONLY way to get kids for signing top FA’s short term.
They basically turned thier money in kids by giving it to the guys they did and trading them off for the cost of cash!

Why didn’t Old Man Sandy get us a guy who hits .224/.311/.409 outside of the second best hitters park in baseball?! That is totally what this team needs! I’m sure he would’ve done great in Citi Field, especially against a division with pitching 5x better than the NL West.
