This story is what is so great about baseball. Here is a kid who had his dream taken away from him with one pitch. At least Greenberg was able to get revenge against de lo Santos in the Atlantic League last summer. I’m rooting for the guy, I have the up most respect for Adam and I hope he gets a hit.

I have to give kudos to the Marlins here. They would probably be one of the last organizations that I would associate a ‘feel good’ story with right about now.

Admittedly I don’t know the details about why the Cubs couldn’t/didn’t work this out but shame on them.

Just saw an interview with Adam on MLB network. He said if he faces Dickey in that game, he’ll just trying be trying to get a hit and he’s sure RA will just be trying to get an out.
I wonder if he wishes that of all pitchers to be facing in his one and only shot, it wouldn’t be a knuckle ball pitcher.

Considering the Marlins situation they might just sign him long term!

Shame for him he has to go against Dickey which is tough nut to get a hit off of but better than someone like Clemons who is just as likey to throw at his head again.
