Joe I just want it noted that my original posts that started this was civil to everyone except maybe those who thought July was a good time to give up and I have to ask have if warnings been given to those who attacked me for expressing that?

But to answer your question, my role here is not to defend you or anyone else, but to keep the debates civil. I thank you for your years of support but that doesn’t entitle you to any more of a defense from me than anybody else here.

What I am responsible for is defending the many good readers we have from being subjected to reading some of these threads that evolve into a food fight in a fifth grade cafeteria.

When I delete your comments it is not because I’m taking sides, it’s because the site is better off without them, and yours were not the only ones that were deleted this morning as Metsie can attest.

You have your opinions and are entitled to them much like TRS or anyone else have theirs. But we don’t have to harp on the same things day in and day out and drag every thread into the mud because we differ in our opinions. That’s the part you don’t seem to get.

Your obsession with people who comment here from other sites is also becoming a concern. I blog on other sites all the time and I’m glad I don’t get treated by those communities in the same manner as you treat them here. And among those sites I go to is the Real Dirty Mets whose community has always treated me with respect.

Finally, the way you, Maniac, Metsie and Bayonne can take a simple word from our English vocabulary and turn it into something vile or synonymous with whatever meaning you choose to give it has been incredible to see this past year. I could never have foreseen that one day I would be putting the word slurp in our ban filter which is what I did a few minutes ago. You guys are very creative, I wish you would apply that creativity in more positive ways instead of using to try and usurp our comment guidelines.

Your hatred of Alderson, which sounds personal although you’ve never met or spoken with the man, is over the top. Do you think he wants to destroy the team? Ironically, I disagree with his decisions as well time to time, but that doesn’t mean I attack him unmercifully or that I should make those attacks personal. I make my arguments with his moves. I explain why I have a problem with them and suggest how I would have preferred he handled it. A week later I might be posting about a great move that he made. It goes both ways and that’s because I criticize the moves not the person making them.

You seem to have one direction. Hate everything he does and hate the man too. I’ll never understand that position.

I made a perfectly relevent statement regarding giving up in a season where most felt it was a lost cause thats all!

And the other two (and I don’t blame Kay as much as TRS here) are the ones who decided to make this a poster attack thread having nothing to do with the 69 Season not me!
