As far as I’m concerned, Davis, Tejada and Wright are locked into their positions. All the other positions need some major fixing and I still dont buy Duda as an outfielder who will get better because he’s shifting from RF to LF which isn’t easy to play in CF.

Take a look at the photo accompanying this story. The pure happiness and perhaps even elation on Ruben Tejada’s face is a joy for most Mets fans. Only those who wanted to finish lower in the standings to get a higher draft slot may be grumpy, but wishing defeat (as I may have been guilty of for draft positioning) ain’t the way to walk tall, especially when it’s followed by complaints about Terry and Sandy lack of success.

I’ve been chuckling at Lori a and that Miami circus since the ASB. Several sports analysts didn’t think that plan would fly. MLB.TV said right before opening day that Hanley would be traded by end of July.

Only a matter of time before they dump Reyes and that heavily back loaded contract. Probably just in time for the Yankees to pick him up when Jeter’s contract ends.

I wonder if Lori a would be crazy enough to consider trading Stanton?

I’ll take last place and a better draft pick. Last season this could have equaled to David Dahl who was on draft a couple spots ahead of the SS we chose whose name I won’t bother trying to learn to spell because he will never be as good as the players I had hoped we’d draft. Most of which were outfielders. Dahl or Hawkins eventually joining Nimo would make one heck of a future outfield

Apparently Terry’s comment “you’ll have to ask them” about the team quitting lit a fire under this team. Maybe you agree with how he said it and when he said it, but obviously some of the players took enough offense to it to prove him wrong. But how many fans WEREN’T thinking EXACTLY what Collins said out loud after being humiliated by the Phillies?

One thing we can take solace in is that the Marlins were expected to be in contention right now and not the Mets after they hired Guillen, signed Reyes, Buhrele, and Bell and opened that new park. They were supposed to ride Johnson, Ramirez, Reyes, Stanton, and co. to a playoff berth. Yet, they have basically been in last place all year long. Am I alone in lovin’ this after they eliminated us two years in a row (’07-’08) at Shea Stadium? Yet, as a life long Mets fan, I also know what Marlins fans are going through after experiencing the “Worst Team Money Can Buy” in the early ’90′s. Looks like the ’12 Marlins will inherit that title now! They can have as far as I’m concerned! LOL

More like the talent level of the Mets beating a team with even less talent. As is oft in the game of baseball.
