I agree with Fonz, no way can he zip through four levels of the minors in under two years which rules out 2013, and 2014. He’s good, but that would be a little too much to ask. Realistically if all goes well, I’m guessing the middle of 2015 or thereabouts.

Thanks Lisa, you are right about Brandon, he is really a special person, and no matter how far he goes in his career, or what kind of player he ultimately becomes, he’s a winner and it is a definite asset to have a quality person like him in our organization. He is deserving of the unquestioned support and loyalty of the entire Mets fan-base. Let’s Go Mets!

I like Phil Evans too, but I tell you I wouldn’t mind seeing Nimmo zip through the system with his bat. Cant wait to get a legit homegrown outfielder on this team.

Unless he tears it up in A and A+ next year and makes a smooth transition to AA I doubt we’ll see him before 2015. He hasn’t even played full season A ball yet so 2014 is probably out of the question. Unless he just flies through the system like Wright did. I still like Phil Evans the best out of the position players that came out of last years draft.

Now that’s what I call an interview, great job by both of you. It reminded me a lot of the types of interviews Kevin’s colleague Steve Serby would do or good old Ralph on Kiner’s Korner. I’ve heard a few Nimmo interviews before and they are all the same, what kind of a pitch was that homerun you hit, have you worked on your stance, blah, blah, blah. This is how interviews are done. Props to you guys. And best of luck to Brandon Nimmo, a fine young man.
