If he plays all year at AAA next year, which he should, he won’t be ready to contribute in the bigs until 2014. But if they call him up for a cup of coffee now, they will only have him for one off-season before they have to go to arbitration with him, and just four years away from him being a free-agent. If he actually becomes really good, are you going to want to give him all that negotiating leverage, and an early chance to bolt for another club? Your idea is terrible.

Havens is always hurt and hit poorly this year. Zapata is still as raw as it gets, and Rosario was in Hi-A not too long ago. Agreed. The main guys I wanted to see have been called up at least in McHigh, Mejia and Familia. I especially am looking forward to seeing Familia hopefully get a start before the season is out.

And since they have more OFs now, maybe bay can get a jump on the off season, and take the rest of the year off?

for the pitchers, my WAG is Mejia gets a couple of starts, and they use Familia a couple times out of the pen.
