He was a little leery of Harvey originally being ready as well. He said now, he has to assume the kid was just bored in AAA and itching to get up here. Once up here, he showed what’s he really all about.

Have to agree with you about the fact that you can’t just always look at stats to determine a player’s ceiling and/or readiness if they’re in the minors. I know it’s a small sample size so far but Harvey looks ready to me. No reason to send him back to the minors next season. Only part of his game I think he needs to work on is going deeper in games.

remember back in july when our GM didn’t think this kid was ready? And somehow spot starts were given to batista and scwhindle??? Yeah… That tells you all you need to know about the direction we’re heading to…
Harvey also told collins: “im not here to be a stop gap type guy, i am here to stay” …. Gotta love this kid… You can give me all the #1 prospect this and that, it takes courage and heart and determination to be great, it’s not all talent, high ceiling and your “stuff”.. something BA doesn’t tell you when scouting prospects…
