Hi Mets fans!
We have a very special show in store for you tonight at 6:00 PM as we bring you an Extended Edition of Metsmerized Radio. Join our host Matt Falkenbury of the Daily Stache as he welcomes not just one special guest, but two of them in what’s bound to be our best show ever!
Steven Matz, New York Mets
Mets 2009 top draft pick Steve Matz has agreed to come onto our show. We’ll ask Steven about his remarkable comeback from Tommy John surgery and how he felt about this 2012 season overall. We’ll find out what his goals are for the offseason and what he’ll be doing to get ready for spring camp in 2013, as well as some other cool stuff.
Mark Simon, ESPN New York
ESPN’s Mark Simon will also be joining us to share some of his insights with our host Matt Falkenbury. In addition to being ESPN’s Baseball Research Specialist, Mark is a Mets historian with a wealth of knowledge on the team and we look forward to dropping some knowledge on us.
As always, MMO Minor League Editor Pete Shapiro will make his regular appearance and talk Mets minors with Matt as their minor league season officially came to an end after the the Brooklyn Cyclones were eliminated from the New York-Penn League Playoffs.

Satish Ram, our Mets Fan Correspondent, will also field some of your questions from here on our site and also via Twitter at @Metsmerized. We’ve been getting some great questions which have really given the show some much added appeal as we make you the Mets fans, the stars of our show.
This week, we’ll be giving a free Mets T-Shirt to one lucky fan who gets their question featured on our show! So send us your questions by asking us either here on this comment thread or on Twitter at @Metsmerized.
Of course you can always call into our show live by dialing (215) 383-3773 at anytime during our Metsmerized Radio broadcast.

Looking forward to your show.
Question:
Yesterday, Terry Collins says Jason Bay’s lack of production can be attributed to his concussions. Do you buy that? And isn’t it sounding more and more like Jason Bay is definitely coming back next season? Last week, Sandy Alderson said Bay still has great value to the team and he will certainly be back. Are they pulling our legs or what?
FOs blow a lot of smoke about players they want to dump. I would be shocked if he was on the OD roster.
quite possible he is here for ST (assuming they don’t pull down a hail Mary and trade him) but unless he is ripping th eball like he did in Boston, he won’t make it to the end of ST.
Bay has great value to the team? Ah – nah – the Met organization has great value to Bay… Like 16m for next year, with a 3m buyout for the following year. Nearly 20m for next year, after all is said and done.
Can’t think of a better argument for socialism.
Hey guys, love the show, I have a question for the show.
What do you think is the future of Daniel Murphy with the Mets?
Where will the Mets be in the standings when they host the 2013 All Star Game? I’m thinking last place, but maybe you could convince me otherwise.
Simon is one of my favorite Mets writers. I dont know if our questions have to be general or intended for specific people, but I would love to know what Simon thinks of this passive approach at the plate and if all the additional walks has led to more runs or more importantly wins? It doesn’t appear to be the case to me.
Hey who wins the t-shirt? lol Your show was cool this week but also a little rough around the edges. What happened to the other guy?
Haha, Rough around the edges, is a nice way to put it. He moved on to other endeavors for the time being.
Happy you liked the show though, hope to have you listen next week!
