Look at what happened to Braves last year with establish BP arms and Padres in year Giants won the WS, their BP was not as good going down the stretch.

Well hopefully this quote from Collins bodes well for Edgin in 2013 in hopes they are attentive to Edgin being overused.

“…the issue is appearances. Edgin has made 74 this season, compared with 49 a year ago. And it’s more intricate an issue than that.

“He’s about 25 above last year, if not more. Plus, that doesn’t even count the days he got up, got ready twice and didn’t get in,” Collins said. “Those are totaling about 90 [including games entered]. So that’s enough.”

I really liked Byrdak he brought that Roger McDowell looseness to the team along with Justin Turner. Now if we could get some everyday major leaguers we’d have a baseball team.
