Niese as with Tejada have really made strides this season. Niese and his current impressive streak of 19 consecutive starts where he has pitched at least 6 innings or more along with allowing 3 earned runs or less in his last 7 starts more than shows that Niese efforts to finish the season strong has been successful.
His last 2 starts vs Atlanta he has given up just 2 earned runs over 14.0/IP. The only thing is that they were at home this is the 1st time this season he is pitching in Atlanta. Regardless of the final line tonight Niese as far as I am concerned has had a solid season.
Looks like Niese had the Braves number no matter if it was at home or on the road as he once again pitched another brilliant game going 7 innings and giving up just 1 earned run.
