Dickey Looks For Win No. 19, Mets Offense Looks For Signs Of Life

R.A. Dickey remains one of the more exciting aspects of this ball club, and tonight he takes his next step forward to become a 20 game winner as he takes on the Washington Nationals. Right now, he is 18-4 with a 2.64 ERA over 198.0 innings of work. In his last four starts he is 3-0 over 29.2 innings with a 1.21 ERA. He is 2-1 in as many games against the Nationals pitching 20.2 innings with a 3.05 ERA. The Nationals have the following numbers Dickey:

Zimmerman 9-27, 2B, HR
Morse 7-24, 2 2B
Werth 11-25, 3 2B, 2 HR
Desmond 4-20, 3B

Zimmermann is 10-8 on the season over 28 starts with a 2.99 ERA while pitching 171.2 innings. His last start was a good rebound as he went 7 innings pitching 2 ER. In his previous start he pitched 3.2 innings while allowing 8 ER. He has been good against the Mets this year allowing only 3 ER over 18 innings of work. Meaningful game in Sept. For Dickey only. Oh I forget will we break the record for innings at home with without multiple runs scored . I’ll take an unearned run 1-0 Met’s win. Must be a complete game otherwise it ain’t happening. Vegas says essentially a bet on the Mets you give $110 to win $100. Wow it has to be 1-0 Met win.

Slight correction, Dickey is 18-4 but lets hope its 19 by the end of the night!

I can’t figure out why Mets don’t put Bay in RF for games this season. He has played it before. Next year Duda is NOT going back to RF and if Bay is here it should be in right
