The Mets are laughed at. Strasburg was scheduled to pitch the Wed. game against the Mets and they decided to shut him down now. Translation: Why waste our premier pitcher on these bums. I feel sorry for Strasburg because the odds were pretty good he could have pitched a perfect game against the Mets. Why not. The way the Mets play even so so p[itchers should be able to get at least a shut out.

This is shaping up to be the six game home stand from hell. I don’t put an ounce of faith in Chris Young Sunday. So then we get the Nationals, who are going to want to keep winning to hold off the Braves. I see nothing to get excited about right now. Maybe Dickey wins his 19th this week.
