Given the situation, this was like an early September call up. Nothing will show the Mets if he is ready for the big leagues in 2013 like actually pitching in the big leagues. September call ups don’t always give enough time to evaluate a player. I think Harvey has shown he’s ready, but like any rookie, he’s going to have ups and downs.
