Dickey by far is the most tradeable, for the reasons stated above...However, i wouldn't deal him unless another big market spender would take back Bay and/or Francisco. Boston?
Ike Davis would net a real nice haul, and last winter, Pittsburgh was interested in him. They may still have interest and have a good outfield prospect in Marte... add in some other goodies from Pittsburgh's system, (Perhaps the Mets could net Alen Hanson a 5 tool guy and 2nd baseman) To me, this is the kind of deals the Mets need to look for...Nobody trades nothing for something, it has to work out for both teams...Duda to 1st base. Question being if Duda was at 1st, would he become more comfortable defensively, relax more at the plate, and match Ike's production or at least come close?

best trade chip? 2 way question.

there is which guy will get the best return, and which is the best one for the Mets to trade.

Dickey, based on performance/position/contract, is at the top. But, the other guy that will get a big return if dangled is Neise. Not that I expect him to go anywhere.

Ike is a WC. no clue what he would fetch, but it could be good, but again, someone you want to keep.

The quickest way for the Mets to rebuild is to trade Wright and Dickey during the winter and Santana by the all star if possible. Having said that, what teams do you think Wright and Dickey can be traded to and what do you think we can get for them to fix the OF, C.

I know that fans don't want to see it but the Mets don't have money for Wright and Dickey so they must be traded. In the short term, an infield of Lutz 3b, Tejada SS, Satin 2B, Davis 1B is not that bad.

Lutz is good for at least 15/20 hrs and Satin 10/15 so losing Wright is not going to mean no power. And they are both right handed hitters.

If the Mets can get 2 everyday outfielders from the trades + 2 lesser prospects 1 of them being a catching prospect and the other a pitcher. I think that should be doable. What do you think.

At time will come when Flores and Rodriguez are both ready to take over 3B/1B or 3B/2B

As a lifelong fan of the Mets, which makes me a lifelong pessimist, there may be no right answer here to fix the team. Counting the main ball club, the AAA roster, and Gee/Pelph, they have about 10 potential major league starting pitchers in the organization. But who knows if 5 of them can ever consistently produce (at the same time). Because of the new stadium, and because its New York, it would make sense to keep wright and Dickey. Which only really leaves a 'healthy' Santana as the best trade bait option. Trading Murphey for an on again/off again hot/cold reliever is pointless. They seem to believe too much in Ike Davis and Duda to let them go right now. so................
