When your parents give you only $5, you can’t spend $10. I’d like to believe that if (hopefully when) the Wilpons decide to put money back into the team, Sandy Alderson would spend it accordingly. I think the major factor holding up spending is the albatross wearing #44 and the $66 million owed to him. If Wilpon doesn’t reinvest that money when it finally comes off the books, we got a problem.

I don’t get this. Fans talk about these things all the time. And they certainly blame management when good players leave. When Reyes left, recriminations against ownership far outnumbered those against the player by a large degree. Same with when Olerud left. Why make these gross general characterizations against fans?

Good post to an extent, also remember, it’s the GM’s job to convince the Owner why they must signed a player etc… The same way alderson gets credit for wheeler, he should get the blame for his tons, and i mean TONS of bad desicions… and who knows, wheeler might not even be good, prospects are not guarantee either. bottom line is, the man has just been awful as a GM, no if’s and but’s… AWFUL…
