I think (speculation) the thought is that Bell has the potential to turn things around. Now granted, those types of deals haven’t exactly gone the Mets way.

But if you look at Bell’s # his issue is his command. So you have to wonder is that something that can be fixed? I’m not sure. He’s still striking batters out, BUT if you look at his #s two years ago you can clearly see a decline in power #s.

Unless it’s something like 5/80 the mets should not touch wright. Trade him while his value is up and restock for 2014.. fans are not showing up either way, and to use the same quote a person in this blog used “it’s not as if the mets have won anything with him” so.. Trade him while his value is at its highest.

The Mets need to spend more this off season to keep Wright, boost attendance (and player morale), to improve the OF (Upton?) and bullpen (Affeldt, Rauch, and Peralta?).
