In the 2011 draft, I really wanted Javier Baez or George Springer unfortunately they were selected before the Mets picked. But when they selected Nimmo I loved the pic given the rest of the options available and due to his upside.

Besides Nimmo in that draft the other bat I really liked was Derek Fisher whom fell to the Rangers(but never signed) in the 6th Rd because of asking price.

I honestly wasnt even worried when Nimmo played in the GCL and was striking out like it was 2nd nature. I figured it was his 1st taste he'll be fine. Then this season started in Brooklyn and early on it was either a strike out or a walk. Thats when I said to myself, "Damn 3 headed Front Office, they're teaching this kid to take pitches and draw walks instead of looking for a pitch to hit."

It looked like the beginnings of a bust but he has come on lately and has looked good. Tons of doubles which will translate into homers as he fills out.

FYI That Kingsport team looks terrible especially the pitching, and WTF are they doing with Akeel he was wild but he was un-hittable. Now he's pitching BP.... Tapia has ZOOMED past him. I dont have any hope for Urbina I never liked the way he pitches.
