Rafael Montero had a great day, exiting with a no-hitter and the St. Lucie offense came to play in the 9-1 drubbing of the Palm Beach Cardinals

Savannah had an off day before they begin a series against the Greenville Drive.

Gabriel Ynoa followed on the streak of great Cyclones pitching, and one run would be enough on the day in Brooklyn’s 1-0 victory.

Montero is turning out to be a beast and I’d say he’s one of our top 5 prospects now and that it’s not even up for debate.
I’d say top-ten. His secondary offerings are still inconsistent, but he is getting by with a phenomenal sinking fastball. He can be a very quick riser though, possibly even seeing Buffalo by 2013.
I see Montero as part of next year’s September callups should he continue the way he’s pitching (and of course, improve his secondary stuff) through next season.
