THOSE WITH OPTIONS REMAINING ON THE PRESENT DAY ROSTER SHOULD BE REMINDED OF IT POINT BLANK HAIRSTON,BAY,TORRES SHOULD ONLY SEE PHing TIME AS REQUIRED. THEY HAVE NO MORE TO SHOWCASE TO ANYONE.

Mejia would be fun in terms of a radar gun, but maybe McHugh’s pedestrian stuff will keep the 2-run-Mets in the game longer …. unless they decide to pencil-in their 1-run lineup.

He has less pure stuff than Mejia but is pitching well at AAA and isn’t coming off a year of TJ surgery. Mejia is not striking anyone out and his low ERA as a starter is a deceiving given that he has a bunch of unearned runs. Plus, the last thing we want is him overthrowing on adrenaline coming off his injury. Plus, McHugh, frankly, deserves it as a reward for a tremendous year overall.
