Not that I think he’s anything special but we’re already a man short in that BP using this six man rotation.

If they’re going to shut Johan down, I’d rather they just go back to the 5 man rotation.
- Don’t understand the need for Young to get any extra rest. He didn’t start pitching until June and won’t likely be back anyway.
- This is the year Niese was supposed to show he could be strong going down the stretch, making a full season of 30-32 starts.
- Dickey doesn’t need extra rest
- Harvey might be on an innings limit so just skip a start for him and use one of Mejia or McHugh, if they’re called up.

Pelfrey and Gee aren’t on it but are still listed. that leaves 40 players, one of whom is Byrdak.

Also, Acosta, Johnson and Nickeas are all still listed.

The Mets should be able to make some room for him.

And I believe Mchugh has to be added to the 40 man in the off season anyway.
