I’m glad to see Mazzoni come back strong too. He’ll be a solid part of the starting rotation to start out the Double A Mets 2013 season I think. Of his ten starts in Binghamton, in five of them he’s allowed one run (or less). It’s three of the other five starts where it was kinda like ‘yikes!’ as he gave up six earned runs in two of them and five earned runs in the other. Chalk it up as learning and experience though. I’ll take his five out of ten starts with one earned or less any day though, and right now he’s one of only two starters on staff with a record above .500.
