Don't know if they could, but I was sitting in the club level ( 1st deck above field level) in the last section in left field just in foul territory from the foul pole and could see most plays in left, but could not see the foul line itself as the seats in that section face home plate. Not a problem though, great ball park.

Hi Heybatter,

Did you happen to notice if those sitting in the upper deck past third base could see all of left field? In 2009, Dave Howard came on the radio and told fans that was the way it was in all new ball parks - which many have told me they haven't noticed.

A liitle off topic, but I think the Mets should put me on the payroll and send me to all away games....2-0 in SF. ATT park a great place to watch a game, filled to capacity, fan friendly, and the weather even cooperated. Interesting and probably because of the Giant fan that got mauled at Dodger stadium last year , they have a number you can text to if you are feeling threatened by other fans because you are wearing another teams gear, or for any other reason. Had fun and enjoyed the games. LGM

Hi Dan,

Would be nice to finish with a winning record and above being just a .500 club. It would indeed build confidence and allow the young players to experience how it is to be playing on a winning ball club rather than a losing one. But dont forget when I talked about those intangibles helping a team mature last season with the help of some veteran leadership I was politely told such stuff was a bunch of BS for these are professionals.

Hope that reference to the Godfather might not be an ominous premonition for the future- don't forget, the "fish" (Marlins) are behind us and we don't want to start sleeping with them.

And who explained to Sonny that Luca Brasi was sleeping with the "fishes"? None other than good old "fish" himself, Abe Vigoda (Barney Miller).

I think the answer is somewhere in the middle. While they over achieved the first half they arent nearly as bad as they have played the second half. The Mets no matter how optimistic any off us want to be are a .500 team. That is it. Too heavy on left-handed bats. Too many young players trying to figure things out. Too few quality bullpen arms. Too much Jason Bay. While I am having fun following this team I still only exptect 78-84 wins.

I said this before but I still feel the positive things I saw in this team over the 1st 86 games are for the most part still there. Barring injury and if Francisco can continue to pitch the way he did at the time he went on the dl I believe they can get back to .500 and once there they can see what kind of noise if any they can make the rest of the way.
