Yeah, looking at the current B-Mets roster the one player I would expect to be the home run power hitter is Allan Dykstra, and because of injury he's only appeared in 27 out of the 101 games that Binghamton has played this season. He has four homers in those 27 games, so 'statistically' had he played the entire season he would be sitting somewhere around 15 right now. The Eastern League leader in HR's - Luke Murton from Trenton - has 21 in 88 games.

I'm just waitin' for that press conference Jill H. ;-) Akron is the only other EL team that hasn't signed a new PDC, and I can't see them NOT resigning with Cleveland since they are in their backyard. Although there are quite a few teams in the Southern and Texas League's that are still hangin' out there (just under half of the teams in each of those leagues actually), I don't see the Mets heading to any of the 'available' cities there. If there was a 'threat' if you will of the Mets going somewhere it was probably New Britain, but as we see above that didn't materialize any further than the hopes of Mets fans in Connecticut.

Of course, I will say there will be quite a bit of pie on my face if the Mets and Binghamton don't sign a new PDC with as much time and effort as I've spent debunking all of the rumors over the past few months.

Great info and I really enjoy your week that was section. I'm really shocked that the team lead in home runs is only 8? I guess the power outage is not just limited to the parent team.

Woo hoo!! So thrilled that we've dodged at least one bullet with the info out of New Britain! Hopefully that, coupled with the info from the B-Mets ownership stating they are close to a deal is good news for us in Bingo.
