Hmmm I cant stand Armando Benitez lol, Anybody but him. Al Leiter never seems to get any love on these types of lists. I always thought he did a great job as a Met and I’ll never forget that playoff game in Cincy in the pouring rain. One of the gutsiest pitching performances I ever saw considering it was a win or go home game.

There were a few guys I contemplated in LF before deciding to go with Mookie…also wanted to get Koosman in, but went with three SP and three RP or Koosman would’ve been in.

Wow tough, tough job here. Since I’ve been a loyal Met fan since ’62 I think we should have two Met all star teams, one from 62-69 and 70 to the modern era. In the first era some of my all stars were Don Clendennon, Tommy Agee, Dave Kingman, Tim Tuefel, Ed Kranepool and Ron Swoboda and my personal hero who toiled in the rotation to go something like 5-23 in that first year, my hero Roger Craig.

I would have had Cleon Jones or even Kevin McReynolds in LF over Mookie. And as the guy above me mentioned, you did Jerry Koosman an injustice by not including him as well as Tug McGraw. That said I know if you ask 100 Mets fans to this you’ll get 100 different lineups. I’m just telling you who I would have substituted.
